This is one of more frequently asked questions, and it is an understandable one.
The short answer is no. The fabric we've chosen is breathable allows for airflow resulting in a cool shaded area similar to any of our other colours!
As the sun moves throughout the day, all you may need to do is to move the support poles from one corner to another.
One of our favourite things about the shade is it versatility. They make the days at the beach that much longer and more colourful!
Aurora Shades come in three sizes:
Aurora PICO (SMALL):
Dimensions : 150 x 200cm
Recommended for up to 2 adults
Aurora PRONTO (MEDIUM):
Dimensions : 210 x 210cm
Recommended for up to 4 adults
Aurora PARTY (LARGE):
Dimensions: 300 X 300cm
Recommended for up to 8 adults,
though we’ve had days with more than 10 under the shade with the 4 pole set up!
Setting up the Aurora Shades does only require 2 poles, though we find that having an extra two in your kit allow for a wider variety of set up options.
We've made our carry bags for the PRONTO and PARTY sizes big enough for 4 poles.
If you do decide to add them to your order they'll fit into your Aurora Carrybag easily!
The Lycra + Polyester combo in our fabric allows air to pass through our shade in both directions.
This not only allows for our shades to not fly away; it also means on those really hot days the wind will always cool you off under the shade!
Set up tip* :
When opening the shade on windy days, the best way to pick the direction is by standing with your back to the wind. As the wind blows below the shade it will lift the shade up slightly putting it into its prime position!
The fabrics use have been carefully chosen to both block UV rays while also allowing the fabric to breathe.
Our UPF 50+ rating means that up to 98% of the sun's harmful rays are blocked out.
* We would like to note that Aurora Shades should be used in conjunction with other sun protection such as sunscreen; not as a substitute!
The ideal way to open the shade on windy days is with your BACK TO THE WIND
This way, the wind passes through the shade, there is no resistance and the sunshade remain steady in windy conditions.
Fill up the sand bags, as much as you can; they can fit a lot more than you think! If they are sliding when the winds pick up, bury them in sand for extra anchorage

Questions and tips about keeping you Aurora shade clean !
We recommend a standard cold or a delicate wash cycle.
Avoid machine drying, from experience its best to air dry your shade to preserve its colour and fresh look.

We ship all orders from Sydney NSW within 48 hours after purchase. Please note these are only estimates. Some orders may take longer as we continue to deal with an overload to shipping companies in Australia and Worldwide
For Australian East Coast Cities and surround areas: Postage ETA is within 4-8 business days.
For regional areas: Postage ETA is up to 10 business days.
For Western Australia:
Perth Metro: Approx 8-10 Business Days
For regional areas outside greater Perth: Postage ETA is up to 12 business days.

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
To start a return, you can contact us at email@example.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
